Five minutes is plenty, and because it happens like only once in two months, it's not like I'm going to get flagged. The thing is: I only use it in case of troubleshooting things. I have it installed on my father and girlfriend's PC as well. I can attest this as well, though from the opposite perspective.Ĭlick to expand.Hard to say.

But it's a front end for vnc, so likely equally 'slow' (I don't find it slow, but TeamViewer is certainly snappier and more responsive) (I ended up getting them a license, of course)Ĭan't say I know many alternatives. Their office literally has buckets and buckets of cash lying around, yet they never thought that paying for paid software was the thing to do. On top of being a company, this was the vault. I admit it's somewhat of a dick move, but in our case it was justified.

Five minutes, I guess, to merely two seconds. We from ict were also never informed of this little act of piracy (we ARE a business) until that connection slowly stopped from. As it turned out, they had used a free version of TeamViewer as well to check one remote computer on a daily basis for at least over a year, and had been ignoring the 'please pay for this if you're a company' message all that time. Not to long ago, I was called in for an 'emergency': the people from the vault could no longer connect to a specific computer. If anyone has a good suggestion, do let me know.Ĭlick to expand.I can attest this as well, though from the opposite perspective. And they seem to have no interest in people legitimately telling them their use case and asking to be unflagged. This has been going on for a while (at least a year), but it didn't happen to me until recently. At first I could connect for 5 minutes at a time before it disconnected me and told me to pay, now it's no more than 1-2 minutes. If you don't know what I mean, recently they've been flagging literally everyone as business users, and trying to charge them money. This was my primary reason for using TeamViewer to begin with and it really sucks that they're being dicks now. Fast (as in refresh rate.) VNC is slow, Remote Utilities is slow, and UltraViewer doesn't have an Android client. without having to enter in the info every single place I want to use it.

An account system or similar so I can add all of my PCs and access them all from my laptop, phone, etc. I'm kind of at my wits end and still having to deal with TeamViewer's bullshit simply because I haven't found a good alternative yet. With the recent bullshit, I'm having to look for an alternative.
